Kool Kids Fun Klub
The church/community led Kool Kids Fun Klub (KKFK) meets in the Village Hall on alternate Fridays in term-time. KKFK runs from 6pm until 7:30pm for schoolchildren in reception and years 1,2,3,,4,5,6 and 7.Its activities include indoor and outdoor active and table games, crafts, cooking and films. The remaining meetings this term are:
October 9th [Night Hike] & 23rd [alternative date for Night Hike] – note later time for this detailed below;
November 6th & 20th [Christmas Craft & Cooking]
December 5th Christmas Party & Awards Night, parents, grandparents and other relations are welcome to join us for this which will include a ‘bring-and-share’ party tea.
On October 2nd at 6.30 in St Saviour Church there will be a ‘KIDZ CLUB EXTRA’ to help the Flower Guild decorate for Harvest Festival, all welcome but please let Kathryn know who is coming – flowers, greenery and produce for decorating would be welcomed!
At most of our meetings there will be an art/craft challenge; entries from this will be held & judged and prizes awarded at the Christmas Party & Awards Night.

Please note that in order for the Night Hike to take place in the dark on the Night Hike night the meeting will start at 6.30 p.m. instead of the usual time of 6 p.m. and finish at 8 p.m. instead of 7.30 p.m.
Please also note that we are happy for all KKFK members to come on the Night Hike BUT we cannot take responsibility for children in Reception or Year 1 on the Night Hike unless they are accompanied by a parent or other adult or older teenaged sibling [16+], please note that an accompanying teenaged sibling will also need to be included on the consent form unless he/she is over 18.

Lanteglos Community Bus
Run by volunteers in our community, the Lanteglos Community Bus has a regular timetable and can also be booked for private hire. There are regular monthly trips to St Austell, Trago, Truro and Liskeard.Volunteer drivers required, if you can help, however infrequently please contact Charlie on 01726 870145

Polruan Children's Regatta
During the year we fundraise with lots of events for the big weekend held annually over August Bank holiday. There is plenty to do with Saturday's crabbing competition, Church Service and traditional sports on Sunday. Monday is Carnival day with treasure hunt, sandsculpture competition, street dancing, beach volleyball, the famous ball roll, the parade and a disco. Everyone is welcome.Tel: 01726 870436

Polruan NCI (National Coastwatch Institution)
The National Coastwatch Institution is a voluntary organisation to restore a visual watch along UK shores. Our lookout is situated on St Saviours Hill in Polruan and covers a sea area from Lizard Point in the West to Eddystone Light in the East as well as the harbour in the River Fowey. Polruan RNLI
The RNLI is a charitable institution and in our harbour we have a Trent Class lifeboat called the Maurice and Joyce Hardy and an inshore inflatable named Olive Two. Whitecross & District Gardening Club
The Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at Whitecross Village Hall. It is a lively friendly club with 84 members enjoying a wide and varied programme throughout the year. It provides a Bursary Award to young people undertaking training in horticulture.Annual membership £8, visitors £3 (may be more for some events)

Whitecross Village Hall
The Hall is located on the junction of the road leading to the Bodinnick Ferry & the turning for Polruan by the Red Telephone Box. The hall is used for Coffee Mornings, Gardening Club, Fitness Classes, Whist Drives, Carn to Cove events including Concerts, Plays & Puppet Shows, Parish Council Meetings, Weddings & Parties. Maximum capacity 160. Generous parking available.We now have a newly refurbished kitchen with catering capacity for approximately 90 people. China, cutlery & glasses are available for hire.
